Originally a millpond, it is now used for recreation. There has been a dam at the lake since 1801. The park is open year round; however, access to some areas of the walking trail is limited during winter months. There is no fee for admission. Park area with playground equipment, covered pavilions, washrooms for summer use is there for visitors.

Cardinal Golf Club- It has earned the reputation as the most complete public golf club in the GTA. With the opening of RedCrest in 2009, Cardinal is now Canada’s largest golf facility, with 72 holes of golf including: three 18 hole championship courses, an 18 hole executive course, large driving range, 18 hole mini-putt, C.P.G.A. staffed Golf Academy, and two unique Clubhouses.
